Alice was a 1958 graduate of Peru High School and was employed as the Registrar for the Miami County Board of Health for more than 20 years retiring in 2006. She attended St. Charles Catholic Church and was a member of the Women of the Moose.
Family and friends were a priority to Alice and children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved going to the lake and vacationing in Clear Water, FL.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Terry, are her children, Debra Draper and her husband Robert of Rochester, Greg Sharp and his wife Diane of Peru, Derek Allen Sharp and his wife Kimberly of Peru, Kathy Smith and her husband Mark of Tipton County and Kirk A. Amos and his wife Mellisa of Kokomo, grandchildren, Zachariah, Miriah, Stephanie, Greg A., Ashley, Kirstie, Olivia, Jarod, Kadee, Christopher, James, Miranda, Max, Sam and Mazie, several great-grandchildren and sisters, Marilyn Sischo of Peru, and Norma Wolfe of Denver. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Lori Davis, a sister, Janette Mills, and brothers Bill Wilson, Ralph Wilson, Jr. and Gene Wilson.
A service celebrating the life of Alice Amos will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main, Peru with Rev. Eric Underwood officiating. Burial will be at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 9:00 A.M., till Noon on Saturday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
