William married Rose Irene Castle on 28 Nov 1943, in Sturgis, SD He was stationed at Fort Meade, SD with the 82nd Airborne Glider Infantry, at the time. Over the next few years, she gave birth to 5 of his children, while he spent very little time around her. He then re-married Irene (?) (about 1954?) and then died in 1955.
