Funeral services will be held Saturday 2:00 PM, September 8, 2012 at Little Mountain Baptist Church with the Rev. Steven Shumate and the Rev. Julius Blevins. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 at Reins Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Mr. Bell was born September 26, 1927 in Wilkes County to David Elisha and Minnie Jordan Bell.
He served as Pastor of Mining Ridge Baptist Church, Union Baptist Church Traphill, Piney Grove Baptist Church, Arbor Grove Baptist Church, Double Creek Baptist Church, Fairview Baptist Church and Little Mountain Baptist Church. .
He was preceded in death by two sons, Paul Kenneth Bell and Fred Allen Bell, two sister's, Virginia Bell Parker and Mary Bell Brewer, four brothers George Turner Bell, John David Bell, Arthur Bell and Hubert Bell.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ward Bell of North Wilkesboro; two sons, Randy Bell and wife, Sondra of North Wilkesboro; Tim Bell and wife, Diane of Roaring River; and two sisters, Francis Hutchinson of Melbourne, FL., and Dorothy Davis of Lenoir, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 688 N. Bridge Street, Elkin, NC 28621.
