Georgette V. (Heroux) Boisvere, age 76, passed away on March 19, 2007 at home surrounded by family. She was born on March 13, 1931 in Chicopee and has been a life long resident. Her parents were the late James and Cora (Ritchotte) Heroux. She was a communicant of Assumption Church. She worked as a telephone operator for the former Medical West in Chicopee. She was a graduate of Chicopee High School Class of 1949. She was a cook for many years at the Assumption Church rectory. She was a former treasurer for Chicopee High Band Parents. Georgette was also the former treasurer for the V.F.W. Post 625, the Chicopee Police Wives Association, and the 104th Retiree Association for 7 years. Georgette also enjoyed volunteer work at the Chicopee Soup Kitchen for over 17 years. She was the wife of the late Henry J. Boisvere who died May 11, 1985. Georgette leaves three sons Barry Boisvere and his wife Sue of Dale City VA, Alan Boisvere and his wife Darlene of Enfield CT and Michael Boisvere of Chicopee; three daughters Lori Achorn and her husband Ronald of Chicopee, Rosemary Boisvere of Chicopee and Sally Tanguay and her husband Dan of Sneeds Ferry, North Carolina. Georgette also leaves 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Memorial Memorial Mass Friday March 23, 2007 in Assumption Church. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
