James Morton Barr, 87, of Rhodelia, died Friday, Jan. 24, at his daughter's home in Louisville. He was born Sept. 30, 1898, son of the late Paris and Jacie Kroush Barr. Mr. Barr was a retired farmer and a member of Payneville Baptist church. His wife, Lora Keys Barr, died six weeks ago. Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen McFarland, Portsmouth, Ohio and Norma Trujillo, Louisville; two sons, Oscar Barr, Union Star, and Edward (Pete) Barr, Rhodelia; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Services were conducted Sunday at 2pm at the Payneville Baptist Church by Rev. Jerry Trantham, with burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Alexander Funeral Home of Irvington was in charge.
