Anna Burnam Died
Monday Morning

Mrs. Anna B. Burnam, a Valley Falls resident the past 20 years, died Monday morning in a Leavenworth hospital following a long illness. She was 67.

Born April 21, 1896, in Easton, Mrs. Burnam lived in the McLouth community from 1915 to 1944 before moving to Valley Falls.

She was a member of the Valley Falls Methodist Church, Women's Society of Christian Service of the church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and was a gold star mother.

She is survived by her husband, James Burnam, of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Throckmorton, Leavenworth; three sons, James W. Burnam, with the U. S. Air Force in Pakistan, Clifford Burnam, Stockton, Calif., and Harold Burnam, Denver, Colo.; four sisters, Mrs. Daisy Manthe, Mrs. Hazel McNett, and Mrs. Elizabeth Davis, all of Leavenworth, and Mrs. Eva Manthe, Highland; five brothers, Archie, Ernest and Jessie Allen, all of Leavenworth, William Allen, Oskaloosa, and Robert Allen, Winchester; 16 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Services were held Wednesday in Valley Falls First Methodist Church with burial in McLouth Cemetery.

Hagge Funeral Home, Valley Falls, was in charge of arrangements.
