ORAL MILLER DIES
Oral Angus Miller, 68, died last night, Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1954, at midnight in a Tulsa hospital. He had been in poor health for a number of years.
Mr. Miller, who would have been 69 years old on Feb. 23, was reared in Altamont and was the son of the late Angus and Florence Miller. His father died in 1896 and is buried in the Vance Cemetery near Altamont. His mother died in 1935 and is buried in the Altamont cemetery. The family lived in the home now owned by the Jack Shell family but better known as the late Jack Cozad place. His grandfather, Wm. Miller, at one time owned the east half of Altamont, which at that time was a farm.
Mr. Miller was a trust employee of the Sinclair Oil Co., at Tulsa for many years.
He was married to Miss Annette Hunter of Edna at Edna in 1910. She survives as does one son, Conrad Miller of Hamilton, Mont.; four sisters, Mrs. Iris Thompson, Parsons; Mrs. Eunice Stone, rural Altamont; Mrs. Altha Evitts, Liberty; and Hazel Miller, Parsons; one brother, Ralph Miller, rural Coffeyville; and a half brother, Charlie Miller of Skedee, Okla.; and many other relatives.
Funeral arrangements were not known at this time but will be at Tulsa.
Conrad Miller, the only son of the deceased, is employed by the Standard Oil Co., and has spent much time in Arabia. He has been in the United States since Dec. 13 but expects to turn to Arabia in March.

ALTAMONT - Funeral services for Oral Angus Miller, 68, former Altamont resident who died Thursday at Tulsa, will be held Monday afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Tulsa. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery there. The son of the late Angus and Florence Miller, his grandfather, William Miller, once owned the land on which the east half of Altamont now stands. Mr. Miller has been employed at Tulsa many years by the Sinclair Oil Co. Survivors include his wife, the former Annette Hunter of Edna; a son, Conrad Miller of detroit; four sisters, Mrs. Iris Thompson, Parsons; Mrs. Eunice Stone, rural Altamont; Mrs. Altha Evitts, Liberty; and Hazel Miller, Parsons; one brother, Ralph Miller, rural Coffeyville; and a half brother, Charlie Miller of Skedee, Okla.

Please note that Oral's obituary states he is buried in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Tulsa but for clarification it is actually Memorial Park.
