Peter Rule,63, resident of Iron Mountain for 55 years prior to 17 years ago, died at 2 p.m. Friday at Ontonagon, Michigan, following an illness of the last two years, from complications.
He was born January 7, 1879 in England, and, after 55 years residence here, moved to Ontonagon 17 years ago, where he had since lived.
Survivors are the widow; three sons, James, Kenosha, Wis.; Harold in the Army, and Orville of Pontiac; three daughters, Mrs. Martha Maclean and Mrs. Dorothy Melin, Northville, Mich. and Mrs. Phyllis Rushford, Wayne, Mich.; one sister, Mrs. William Hosking and one brother, Percy, Iron Mountain and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 tomorrow afternoon at the Erickson and Son mortuary by the Rev. Percy Lomas. Burial will be in Cemetery Park.
Mr. Rule was a Spanish American war veteran.
