Kenneth O. Baker, 75, Berlin, passed July 14, 2007, at Meyersdale Medical Center. Born Aug. 23, 1931, in Acosta, the son of the late Lester and Blanche (Knopsnyder) Baker. Also preceded in death by his first wife, Norma (Trimpey) Baker and an infant daughter. Survived by his wife of 14 years, Judy (Walker) Baker; children, Janet Stevanus and husband, Ronald, Rockwood; Kenneth Baker and wife, Linda, Markleton; Brenda Singo and husband, Robert, New Middletown, Ohio; Rita Hackwelder, Rockwood; Edward Baker and wife, Esther, Rockwood; Daniel Baker and wife, Barbara, Somerset; Samuel Baker and wife, Susan, Rockwood; and Jeffrey Baker and wife, Roxann, Rockwood; stepchildren, Miriam Hoff and husband, Ronald, Hatfield; Dean Durst, Berlin; Carrie Durst, Greensburg; and Allen Durst, Denver, Ind.; 37 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Robert Baker and wife, Betty, Markleton; Donald Baker and wife, Lois, Markleton; Roy Baker and wife, Barbara, Boswell; and Dale Baker and wife, Eileen, Markleton. A long-time truck driver who loved to work on his truck and other machinery around his home. He attended the Berlin Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset. A service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Berlin Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Rev. Sherman Berkey officiating. There will be one hour visitation prior to the service. Interment at Rockwood IOOF Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Berlin Christian and Missionary Alliance Church at P.O. Box 6, Berlin, PA 15530, to establish a trust fund for the medical expenses for Kenneth Eugene Baker III.
