Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Porter Funeral Home; burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mary was born July 14, 1919, in Greenbrier, AR, and had lived in Russellville, AR, moving to Kansas City, KS, in 1941, and Leavenworth in 1990. She had been a mail clerk in the benefits department at National Fidelity Life Insurance Co., a subsidiary of ERC for 17 years, retiring in 1984.
She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Laffoon, in 1986. Survivors include a son, Steven Laffoon, Kansas City; daughter, Marsha Krivjansky, Leavenworth, KS; sister, Lucille Schneider, Pleasanton, KS; and three grandchildren, Jason Krivjansky, Brandon and Sarah Laffoon.
