Maggie Jane McGee was born March 2, 1910 in Strong City, OK to Fannie and Albert Lewis Risley and passed away December 6, 1992 in the Grand Place Nursing Center at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 4 days.
She married John Alva Porter in 1927 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. On January 13, 1938 she married Laffie Hershel Wood in Cordell, Oklahoma and they lived in Reydon before moving to Cheyenne in the late 50's. After "Laf" passed away she moved to Amarillo, Texas where she met and later married Claude Lee McGee on April 17, 1967 in Sulphur, Texas and they moved to Cheyenne to make their home.
She was a member of the Cheyenne Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, 1 grandson, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Donnaleitta LeGrand of Reydon, 3 sons, Erice Porter of Cheyenne, J.T. Porter, of Reydon and Herschelle Wood of Kansas; 9 grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
Services were held at 2 p.m, Tuesday, December 8 , 1992 in the Cheyenne Church of Christ, officiated by Willard Cox. Interment followed in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
