Mrs. Edith Cooper, 73, wife of Fred Cooper, passed away at her home five miles southwest of Homer Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock following an illness of several months. Besides the husband she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Clarabelle Lewis and grandson at home; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Thornton of Battle Creek, Mrs. Nettie Drum of Jackson and three brothers, George Hess of Tekonsha, Fred Hess of Litchfield and Frank Hess of Clarendon.

Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Cooper will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the home and at 1:30 o'clock at the West Clarendon church, Rev. C. S. Burchfield officiating. Burial in West Clarendon cemetery.
