MRS. DORA SHANKLIN
Mrs. Dora Shanklin, age 78 years, one of the pioneer residents of Democrat Township, died at her home near Cutler, Saturday. She had lived in Democrat township nearly fifty years. Miss Elizabeth Stephens, teacher in the Delphi grade schools, is a granddaughter.
Dora is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Edward Stephens of Bringhurst; Mrs. Everett Quinn and Mrs. J.C. Humes of Cutler and Mrs. Lloyd Beard of Clay Township; and John Calvin Shanklin, a son of Frankfort. She was buried Monday at Ball Hill Cemetery.

MRS. DORA SHANKLIN, who died recently at her home near Cutler, Indiana, at the age of 78 years, at one time was one of the owners of the land where the Logansport State Hospital stands. The family sold the land to the state as a site for the hospital almost 50 years ago.
Following funeral services the remains were buried at Ball Hill Cemetery in Cutler.
