Judy Blessing Rigler passed away August 29, 2012 with her husband at her side. She joins her beloved daughter, Beth, and mother, Bernice, in heaven.
She is survived by her husband, John; daughter, BriAnne (Jeff) Loughary; 2 beautiful grandkids, Allison and Benjamin who were the light of her life; father, Perry Blessing; siblings Linda (Dixon) Hall and Vern (Julie) Blessing; and loving nieces and nephews.
Born October 11, 1949 in Fall River County, South Dakota, Judy lived in Utah for more than 35 years. She became "Aunt Judy" and "Nurse Judy" to generations of children and friends. She provided to her family, friends, acquaintances and patients not only sound medical care and advice, but a level of compassion that many of us have never seen before or since. Judy was in her late teens when she accepted Jesus as her Savior. Through the years her belief and example of Christlike love provided a strong testimony to everyone around her. Her love of and faith in God buoyed her through the excruciating loss of her daughter Beth and Judy's own failing health, and made the rewards of her grandchildren and extended family and friends much sweeter. She was our friend, our advocate; and was somehow both very strong and very compassionate and we admired her and loved her very much. We will miss her.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 7, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at the Canyons Church, 1700 East Ft. Union Blvd. Interment, Pleasant Green Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home
