Mrs. Driver Dies Friday

Funeral services for Mrs. Lennie Driver of Clinton, who died in Elk City's Community Hospital Friday, will be conducted from the Baptist church at Hammon Monday, March 3, at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Bill Health, pastor of the Custer Avenue Baptist Church at Clinton, and Rev. James Perkey, pastor of the Main Street Baptist Church at Elk City, officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill cemetery with Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Driver was born Feb. 7, 1887, in Falls County, Tex. She was 88. She was united in marriage to A. L. Driver Jan. 11, 1906, in Erath County, Tex. and they later moved to Wellington, Texas, where they lived for some 15 years. They moved to Roger Mills County in February of 1927 and lived on a farm near Hammon.

Mr. Driver preceded her in death April 29, 1957 and she moved to Clinton in 1959 and had lived there since, residing in a nursing home for the past three years. She was a member of the First Baptist church at Clinton.

Survivors include four sons, Clarence of Elk City, Joe of Hammon, Leroy and Buddy of Clinton, five daughters, Mrs. Floyd Drinnon and Mrs. Opal Bright of Hammon, Mrs. Grant Trent, Elk City, Mrs. Buddy Beutler, Canute, Mrs. Ralph Spitzer, Loomis, Calif., and Mrs. Earl Carter, Rocklin, Calif., and also 28 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
