Richard L Patterson, 56, of Flat Rock died Sunday, August 11, 2002, at Pardee Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was a lifelong resident of Henderson County and was the son of the late Craig Patterson and Brantley Harden Patterson. He was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include two daughters; Denise Arriaga and Renee Patterson, both of Summerfield; four brothers, Narvin and David Patterson of East Flat Rock, Cecil and Clyde Patterson of Flat Rock; three sisters, Sadie Cairnes of Mills River, Sybil Taylor of Crab Creek and Margaret Sparks of Flat Rock and grandchildren, Brandon, Cody, Heather and Kayla Patterson, Destiny and Faith Wilson, all of Summerfield. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, in Kirby Memorial Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
