It seems that Mrs. Kelsh who recently sold her home and was about to dispose of her furnishings, arose at 4:30 that morning to arrange the articles to be sold at auction Saturday and do away with a collection of old letters and papers. These she proposed to burn in the kitchen range and while thus engaged her clothing was set afire, wrapping a bed sheet about herself she made way to the street and thence to a neighbor's house, where the gravity of her condition was at once realized. She was rushed to the hospital at Independence, where her death occurred.
