Charles Gilliland, 49, of Middle Smithfield Township, died Wednesday, September 12, at home.
Born on November 26, 1957 in East Stroudsburg, he was a son of the late Richard Gilliland and the late Roberta J. (LaBar) Ace. He was a lifetime resident of Monroe County and a self-employed roofer.
Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Joanna DiBello; his daughter, Heather Kehler of Royersford, PA; his step-father, Robert S. Ace of East Stroudsburg; six brothers, Stanley Gilliland, Dick Gilliland and John Gilliland, all of East Stroudsburg, Richard Gilliland of Granville Summit, PA, Michael Gilliland of Effort and Brian Ace of Stroudsburg; a step sister, Donna Cramer of Texas; and many nieces and nephews including Jennifer, Joanna, Buddy and Branden. He was preceded in death by a brother, Nicholas Gilliland; and a sister, Shirley Gilliland.
