What's in my heart?
On a cold wintry night, I walked into your sight,
I saw surprise on your face,
Neither of us knew what would take place.
You said to me, take a seat, set on the floor,
Take five minutes and tell me everything you know.
I looked at the door, but thought no.
As I set on the floor, with long hair and all.
I mumbled to you.
Got the rest of your life, cause I know an awful lot.
We were such opposites,
But that didn't stop us.
You were the cowboy and I was your Indian Squaw.
You were the Yankee and I was your southern belle.
You were the redneck and I was your hippie.
You would let things slide and I would let things strike.
You were a gentlemen and won my heart.
I knew then it was a beginning of a new start.
You become my hero, savior, protector, and provider,
And has time went you became the Love of my Life.
That firts night we met, we became friends,
Even up till the end.

Here is a poem that a fellow Find A Grave member said I could use, Neil B. Smith.

Always a silent hurt,
many a silent tear,
but always a beautiful memory
of one we loved so dear.

God gave us strength to bear it,
and courage to take the blow,
but what it meant to lose you

...no one will ever know.
