He was the youngest child of John A Quitman Pringle & Georgia Tipton Davis Pringle. He first married Selatie Bremer on May 23, 1925 in Harris, TX. They had one daughter, Dorothy Marie Pringle (1926). They then divorced, and he then married Maude Winslow on Oct. 20, 1927. They had 3 children:
