Opal Pearl (Kimbrell) Wild, was born in Cass County, Missouri in 1898 and moved west with her parents, Ben & Annie (Storms) Kimbrell in about 1906. She met Bob Wild in Milton-Freewater, Oregon (actually, he was living in Milton and she in Freewater!). Bob & Opal both were born in Missouri, but met and married in Northeastern Oregon / Southeastern Washington and were married on June 5, 1918 with the ceremony performed by Opal's grandfather, Rev. William R. Storms, with her uncle, Albert P. Couch (husband of Opal's aunt Lizzie (Storms) Couch) and Opal's sister, Cecile Mae Kimbrell as witnesses. Bob & Opal adopted a daughter and named her Melva Lee Wild - she married Arnie (Arnold O.) Ness, who was born in North Dakota to Norwegian parents, and Lee & Arnie lived in Portland, OR where they had three children.
