Maron Henry "Jack" Evans, age 99, a resident of Delmar Gardens, died December 14, 2009 following a massive stroke a few weeks earlier. He retired in 1975 from Kraft Foods after 35 years of service. He was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Morrow.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Mildred Josephine Starr Evans, daughter, Linda Evans Duffey, and granddaughter, Peggy Duffey.
Survivors include two daughters, five grandchildren, and two great grandsons
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at White Columns Chapel in Mableton with Reverend Chris Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Dawn Memorial Park in Decatur.
