Funeral services for Albert Carl Severson, 75, were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 7, 1986, in First Lutheran Church in Cresco. Interment was in New Oregon Cemetery with Bradley-Lindstrom Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
He died July 4, 1986 in the Lutheran Hospital in Eau Claire, WI.
Albert Carl Severson was born August 13, 1910, in Zumbrota, MN, to Albert and Caroline (Dvergedal) Severson. He married Georgia Hoven on August 2, 1936, at the Strodahl Lutheran Church in Roscoe Center, MN.
Al served his country during WW 11 and upon his return he and Georgia lived in Cresco where Al worked at the IGA Store and sold vacuum cleaners for the Electrolux Corporation. They were the parents of two daughters and a son.
In 1985, due to declining health, Al moved to Eau Claire, WI, to be near his son.
Al is survived by his son, George of Eau Claire, WI; five grandchildren; and two brothers, Chester Severson of Duluth, MN, and Morris Severson of Salt Lake City, UT.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, two daughters, Carolyn and Jonetta Sue; also two sisters, Angeline and Edna.
