The death of Henry Jaquet occurred at his home in Greenville Township August 11 at the age of 71 years 2 months, 8 days, death being due to Brights disease from which he had been a great sufferer for some time past.
The funeral services were held at the Church of Christ at Tampico on Friday at 11 o'clock, Rev. Kearns, officiating. The internment was in the Tampico cemetery by the side of his wife, who passed away September 7, 1914. A large number of relatives and friends were present to pay their last tributes of respect to the departed.
Henry Jaquet was born at Des Plaines, Cook County, Illinois, May 24, 1851. He was married to Emiline Sand on March 24, 1878. Eight children were born to their union. On November 16, 1916, he married Eunice Mensen, who with the eight children he leaves to mourn their loss, five sons and three daughters. Elmer Jaquet of Hahnamon, Ill., Mrs. George (Hannah)Whipple of Dahinda, Ill.,Mrs. Lottie Whipple, of Wyanet, Ill., George of Greenville, Jesse of Aldena, Mrs. Florence Bechdolt, of Deer Grove, and Clarence and Floyd of Williamsfield, one sister, Mrs. Mary Wiederhold of Hooppole and 22 grand children. Three brothers have passed before, two in the past three months. He united with the Evangelical church when a young man and remained in that faith until his death. He loved to attend church services and was regular in attendance when able to be there.
