Mahala Rodgers-Coyle-Fell (B. 06 Mar 1867, McDonald, Washington, Pennsylvania, D. 11 Mar 1907, Rostraver, Westmoreland, Pennsylvania) first married Hugh J Coyle, (B abt 1854, Pennsylvania; D 06 Aug 1892) Married abt 1890. Hugh Coyle a Constable with the town of Noblestown, was murdered by an escaped convict named Martin Reed who was cornered in an ice house on the outskirts of Noblestown. A crowd gathered and Hugh announced that he was going in to capture Mr. Reed. A shot was fired and missed Coyle, however on his second attempt to go inside Mr. Reed fired a final shot that instantly penetrated Hugh's heart killing him instantly. Hugh and Mahala had one (1) daughter, my grandmother, Catherine Amy Coyle-Fell-Harris. Mahala remarried Francis Alva Fell in 1893 adopting Catherine Amy Coyle as his own, and had the following children: Francis Asbury Fell (1895-1994), Harry Chanton Fell (1896-1962), Joseph E.
