E. B. Price, 45, Dies In Denmark
DENMARK - Edward Bowers Price, 45, lifelong resident of Denmark, died suddenly at his home early Sunday morning.
Mr. Price was the son of Mrs. James Allison Price (Annie Kittrell) and the late Mr. Price. He was a graduate of the Denmark Public Schools, and attended the civil engineering school of the University of South Carolina.
Mr. Price served five years with the armed forces during World War II, and his duties included service as master sergeant with the supply depot in the CBI Theatre from 1942 to 1945. Since World War II he has been employed by the USDA Soil Conservation Service as an engineer.
Mr. Price was a member of the Denmark Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge of which he was the past master.
He was the uncle of Fred LeClercq, president of the student body at the University of South Carolina, and related by marriage to Governor-Elect Fritz Hollings.
Survivors include his widow, the former Miss Carolyn Wise of Greenville; two small children, James Wise and Debra Wise; his mother; a sister, Mrs. Honore P. LeClercq: two brothers, William K. Price of Charleston and Jackson R. Price of Denmark; one niece and three nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted by the Denmark Masonic Lodge No. 246 in the Denmark Cemetery at 11 a. m. Monday.
