Dick Nielson lost his battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis on May 19, 2012. He was born in Mount Vernon, Washington on May 7, 1942 to Carl and Grace Nielson. He enlisted in the Air Force and was very proud to serve his country. After the Air Force, he became a Machinist and worked at Mechemil, Western Gear, and Boeing, where he retired after 27 years. He was a kind and gentle person and was liked by everyone. He never had a bad thing to say about anyone and was the best listener on Earth and a great sense of humor. He was a good man and a man of his word. He loved to travel and was game to go and do anything. He never his disease stop him from doing anything. He fought the disease for 9 years. He loved watching the Mariners and Seahawks.
