80 year old Mentie Elizabeth Atnip of Smithville passed away Thursday at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a Baptist and a factory worker. The funeral will be Saturday, September 8th at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Mike Clayborn will oficiate and burial will be in Mount Holly Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Atnip was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Lillie Frances Young; three sisters, and five brothers.
