PAMPA — Diann Ringo Birdsell, 71, of Pampa died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, in Amarillo.

Vigil will be at 6 p.m. today in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Francisco Perez, pastor of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, officiating. Liturgy of the Word will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. John Valdez, pastor of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hereford, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.

Diann was born Jan. 21, 1941, in Bartlesville, Okla., and was a 1959 graduate of College High School in Bartlesville. She attended Oklahoma State University, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Diann married Jim Birdsell on May 18, 1963 in Bartlesville. He preceded her in death on May 10, 1991. Diann worked as an administrative assistant for Arrington Cos. for many years and worked for Cabot Corp.

Diann was a Presbyterian and attended St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with her family. She was a past member of Pampa Altrusa Club, and she was a Girl Scout leader for many years. Diann volunteered in the medical records office at Pampa Regional Medical Center for several years. She enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of several bridge clubs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Isabel Ringo.

Survivors include three daughters, Susan Bromlow and husband David, and their sons, Mitch and Ryan, all of Pampa, Marcia Moreland and husband Mike, and their sons, Mason and Matthew, all of Dallas, and Jill Harris and husband Carrel, and their children, Callie and Cory, all of Amarillo; two brothers, Bob Ringo and wife Louise of Lincoln, Calif., and Jim Ringo and wife Robin of Norman, Okla.; and a sister, Joann Foster and husband Woody of Kerrville.

The family suggests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105; or
Arthritis Foundation, P.O. Box 96280, Washington, DC 20077.

The family will receive friends at Diann's residence at 2329 Chestnut.
