Gertrude M. Hennessy, 75, Kansas City, MO, passed away April 23, 1997, at North Kansas City Hospital. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at Resurrection North Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday, at McGilley Antioch Chapel, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Mid-America.
Mrs. Hennessy was born May 22, 1921, in Leavenworth, KS, living in this area most of her life. She and her husband Frank owner Frank Hennessy's Supermarket. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis ''Frank'' Hennessy, in 1990. Survivors include one son, Michael Hennessy, Kansas City, MO; one daughter, Fran Fulkerson, Liberty, MO; one brother, Leon Jefferson, LA; one sister, Marion Stafford, San Francisco, CA; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
