Myrtle was united in marriage to Ivan Hesner on April 2, 1919 at Independence, IA. They lived at Aurora for a number of years later moving to Lamont. Ivan died May 20, 1949.
Mrs. Hesner died September 8, 1986 at the Strawberry Point Lutheran Home. She was 93 years of age.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband one sister, Ina Sharff, three brothers; Harry, Orville, and Jason Whitney.
She is survived by her son, Leonard W.; two sisters, Ruth Ehler and Jennie Whitney.
Burial was in Campton cemetery.
