SCRANTON -- Mrs. Johnnie Singletary, age 84, died July 1, 2004 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am today, July 3, 2004 at Singletary Cemetery in Coward, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta.
Born in Williamsburg County, she was a daughter of the late Junius Thomas and Lizzie Brandenburg Thomas. She was a retired sales clerk with Belk Department Stores and a member of New Zion Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jacob Singletary; a son, Henry Craig Singletary; a sister, DruElla Floyd, three brothers, A.J. Thomas, Mallory Floyd, Jr. and Alvin K. Floyd.
Surviving are a sister, Lottie T. Jenner of Laurel, MS; a nephew, James M. Jenner of Laurel, MS; two nieces, Cecelia (Mac) F. McGoogan of Florence and Nelda F. Broad of Hannah; and ten other nieces.
