Also surviving are four daughters: Kathy Ping, Barbara Artinian, Loretta Terrell, and Becky Otis, all of Bedford, IN; two sons, Sam Craig and Charlie Craig, both of Bedford, IN; his mother of Bedford, IN; two brothers, Charles Craig and Joe Craig, both of Bedford, IN; one sister, Martha Bollinger of Arizona; nineteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father in January, 1986.
In 1984 he retired after twenty four years from the Bedford Fire Department, part of the time serving as Assistant Fire Chief. He was manager of Craig Feed and Seed, where he had currently been working. He was a 1953 graduate of Bedford High School and a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, the National Maine Anjou Cattle Association, Indiana Beef Cattle Association, and was active with Lawrence County 4-H for many years.
Services for Robert Craig will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 18th, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with Father Bernie Cox officiating. Friends may call from 1-9 p.m. Friday at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lawrence County 4-h Fair Association.
