"Floyd D. Webster, aged 77, former resident of Cooperstown, died Thursday, August 9, at his home in Tampa, Fla., where he suffered a stroke. He was born April 13, 1885, in Cooperstown, the son of Daniel and Jennie (Harvey) Webster. He married Nina B. Smith of Otego, in Syracuse. Mr. Webster was in the textile business and worked in Clayville, Syracuse and Cooperstown. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Cooperstown. Surviving are his wife; a son, Clifford of Rockledge, Fla.; a half-brother, M. T. Chapman of Albany, and nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. on Wednesday from the Bailey Funeral Home in Otego, with the Rev. Charles M. Adams of Afton officiating. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery in Oxford."
