KIOWA, Kan. - Funeral service for Frances M. Garman, 88, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Fisher Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dennis King officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Kiowa. She died July 3, 1989, at at Kiowa nursing home.
Frances Dotterer was born March 19, 1901, in Alfalfa County. She married Arnold Garman Aug. 17, 1917, in Cherokee. He died July 10, 1982.
She had lived in the Kiowa area for 70 years.
Survivors include three sons, Arnold J., Bentonville, Ark., Richard, Kiowa, and Delmar, Rogers, Ark.; three daughter, Phyllis Triplett and Alice Ricke, both of Wichita, Kan., and Juanita Eckert, Kiowa; four brothers, John Dotterer, Portland, Ore., Paul Dotterer, Derby, Kan., Albert Dotterer, Wichita, Kan., and Earl Dotterer, Woodward; two sisters, Addie Small, Wichita, Kan., and Pricilla Brune, Cherokee; 16 grandchildren and seven step-grand-children.
She was preceded in death by five brothers.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Kiowa or the Kiowa District Hospital Memorial Fund.
