Linda Ellen Cover, 61, passed away on August 30, 2012, after a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer. Lin was preceded in death in 2006 by her father, Gerald M. Cover, one niece, Christie (Jon) Cashatt, and two nephews, Kael Fry and Kelsey Fry. Lin also leaves behind many close friends whose lives she has touched with her kind spirit. Lin's life was filled with music, laughter, and giving to those she loved. She will be remembered for her heartwarming smile, love of food, and stories of growing up on the east coast. Always creative, she knitted, quilted, gardened, made jewelry, cooked, and volunteered her time. She was never without a loving dog in her life, and usually at least one cat. In 2006, Lin retired from the 4th Judicial District Probation Department as a Probation Officer, after a career of 23 years. Lin's retirement was short, but she continued the hobbies dearest to her heart, craft fairs, taking care of her beloved pets, and most importantly, she provided loving care for her parents in their final years. Services will be held at Grace & St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 601 N. Tejon, Colorado Springs, CO. Tuesday, September 4th, 2012, at 1:00pm, with a reception to follow. To continue to honor Lin's giving spirit, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to: Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation, 2550 Tenderfoot Hill Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80906.
