ANDERSONVILLE -- A life celebration for Helen L. (MeMe) Denny, 91, of Hendersonville and formerly of Cookeville, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at Hendersonville Funeral Home with Pastor Lynn Hinkley officiating. Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. in Cookeville Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday September 7, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Denny passed away Aug. 28, 2012.
She was a very optimistic, resilient woman. She was a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was truly devoted to her family. She enjoyed sewing, birds, flowers, cooking, traveling and most of all, her family. She was faith-based woman who attended church at Hendersonville First United Methodist Church for the last 20 years. She was also a member of The Companion's Class & Love and Concerns Circle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Denny.
