Mary Ellen Baker, 74, of Somerset, died February 19, 2016 at The Patriot. Born March 31, 1941 in Rockwood, she is the daughter of John C. and Mabel L. (Snyder) Schrader. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Carl Groff Baker who died January 18, 1999, brothers John and Glen Schrader and sisters Ruth Brant, Jean McVicker and Edna Mae Phillippi. Survived by her children Carl G. Baker Jr. married to the former Angela Cox of Williamsburg, Michigan, and Traci Ellen Baker and fiance Derek Williams of Somerset, grandchildren Brent Baker and wife Kate of Williamsburg Michigan and Kori Baker and fiance Jeff Needham of Traverse City Michigan, also 12 great grandchildren Mary is a graduate of Rockwood High School, and she was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Rockwood. A service will be held at a later date. Interment Rockwood IOOF Cemetery. The family requests contributions be made to Humane Society of Somerset PO Box 182, Somerset, PA 15501. or The American Kidney Fund.
