Bronie Short age 61 passed away at Richard L. Roudebush V. A. Hospital on August 31, 2012.

Born February 7, 1951 to the late Thomas E and Thelma P (Hunt) Short in Shelbyville IN.

Bronie served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam era from 1971 to 1973. He was employed at Zesco Inc. as an Installation Supervisor for more than 18years when he retired in 2011. He served his community as a volunteer member of the Greenfield Fire Department. Bronie was an avid camper and Harley Davidson enthusiast. He was a member of the local VFW, the American Legion post 119 and the American Legion Riders association.

He is preceded in death by his brothers James and John Short.

He is survived by his wife Charlene (Huffman) Short, a daughter Laurisa Short, sons Casey (Heather) Short and Bronie Ray (Amanda) Short from Greenfield. Two step children Clifford Branscum and Sara Haynie of Greenfield, six grand children and two step-grand children.

Funeral service will be 5:00 p.m. Friday September 7, 2012 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home Pasco Chapel Greenfield IN with visitation from 3:00 p.m. until time of service.
In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society can be made in Mr. Short's memory.
