Marjorie J. Chigaridas, 92, of Camillus, passed away, peacefully Tuesday at Iroquois Nursing Home. Born in Chicago, she was a longtime resident of the village of Camillus and was a member of Camillus First United Methodist Church. She retired, after 20 years as secretary to the town of Camillus supervisor. She was predeceased, by her husband, George, in 1971; her son, Thomas, in 1975; and her daughter, Catherine, in 2005. Marjorie is survived by two daughters, Laurie (Stephen) Frass and Susan (James) Smith, and daughter-in-law and son-in-law, Barbara and Anthony Mercurio. Marjorie was a proud grandmother to grandchildren Kari Henderson, Thomas (April) Chigaridas, Patrick (Mary) Mercurio, Luke Smith, Jessi (Matt) Raffa, Matthew Smith, and great-grandchildren Christopher, Maura, Meghan, Shawn, Kacen, Kyler, Rider and Morgan. Services are noon Saturday, September 8, at Camillus First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Arrangements by the B.L. Bush & Sons Funeral Home, Camillus. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to her favorite organization, the Camillus Canal Society, Treasurer, Gail Banks, 105 Whedon Rd., Syracuse, NY 13219.
