Anna Katherine Endres was born in Polk, Washington, WI on 29 Jun 1852 to the parents, Mathias Endres and Margaretha Rau. She was the middle child of three. At the age of sixteen, Anna married Philip Becker on 30 Sep 1868 in Richfield, WI. They owned and operated a 110 acre farm outside of Ackerville, WI. She was a well-known and respected resident of the Town of Hartford, living four and a half miles south-east of town. She died suddenly on 22 Jan 1908 around 7am on a Wednesday from apoplexy at the age of 55.

She is survived by her husband Philip Becker , seven sons, and two daughters, Annie (Bruno) Zimmerman of Polk, Katherine (Emil) Zimmerman of Schleisingerville, Fred of Polk, Henry (Katie) Becker of Richfield, and Andrew, Philip, Carl, Mathew and Emil all are still living at home. one son, John, having preceded her in death at the age of 23. Anna is also survived by her two brothers Andrew of the Town of Polk and John of Hartford.

The Hartford paper states, " Deceased was a kind and loving wife and mother and her life had been spent in caring for their welfare, and her memory will ever be deeply cherished by her family and a large number of sympathizing relatives and friends."

The funeral was held from the farm house on Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock with interment in the St. John Lutheran church, near Ackerville, Rev. Blum officiating.
