This article was in a paper that my Aunt had gotten a copy of, I don't know what paper. probably Dighton, and was written abt September 25, 1945. I am retyping it because of mispelled words and it is not very clear image.
Thomas Oliver Davis (T. O. Davis is how it is typed), we call "Jack" Davis, passed away at the Larned Hospital one day last week and was buried in the Dighton Cemetery Saturday at One O Clock, A short service at the grave was given by Rev. Charles Bretz. Those of his children who were here are; Edith of Sharon Springs Kansas, Mary of Colorado, Rose of Oregon, Albert, who has just been discharged September 1st from the Armed Forces, and Clarence, Earl, Omer, Laura, Ray Oliver and Davern. couldn't get here. Davern is a Lt. overseas and had just landed in the U. S. and couldn't get home until on Sunday. Jack (Thomas Oliver Davis) with his family, lived here in our neighborhood a good many years. Those of his brothers and sisters who were here; Mrs May Goodman of Utica Kansas, and Omer Davis of near Cedar Edge, Colorado. The family has our sympathy in their sorrow.
