She was born January 16, 1888, in Verdi, Lincoln County, Minnesota, and came to Stanwood in 1901. She was united in marriage with Peter Henning June 3, 1914, in Seattle, Washington, and the couple moved to Henningsville, B.C where Mr. Henning engaged in railroad contracting.
Mrs. Henning was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Mount Vernon.
Survivors include two sons, Cliff of Stanwood, and Peters of Los Altos, California; two daughters, Mrs. Bernard (Marguerite) Kvande, Stanwood, and Mrs. Erling (Geneva) Hall, Camano Island; a sister Mathilda Forstrom of Stanwood; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Peter Henning, Mother Martha Carlson, Father Sven Elof Carlson, Sister Anna Nielson.
Services were held in the Salem Lutheran Church in Mount Vernon Friday, July 11, with Pastor Lee Forstrom and Reverend James Nyborg officiating. Burial was in Cedarhome Cemetery with services under the direction of Gilbertson Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society in care of Mrs. Cliff Henning.
