Found in The State 01 May 1929: Mrs. Narcissa Cumings Hipp, 86, died after a short illness at 7 o'clock yesterday morning at her residence, 1114 Pendleton street, where she had lived for many years with her daughters, Mrs. Lula C. Starling and Mrs. Joe Fraser. Mrs. Hipp was the widow of A. I. Hipp and was born near Little Mountain in Lexington county, her parents being Captain George and Mrs. Elizabeth Epting. She had lived in Columbia for more than 40 years and was a charter and the oldest member of St. Paul's Lutheran church, of which she was an outstanding member as well as one of the founders and builders. She took an active interest in all church work and attended services regularly at her advanced age until prevented by the failure of her health. She was admired for her beautiful Christian nature and her death has caused much sorrow. Mrs. Hipp is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. Lula C. Starling and Mrs. Joe Fraser of Columbia; two sons, J. O. Hipp of Baltimore, Md., and A. A. Hipp of Richmond, Va.; one sister, Mrs. Ella Boland, and one brother, John Epting, both of Little Mountain, and 12 grandchildren, Miss Marie Starling, Miss Gwynnelle Starling, Mrs. Sadie Abell, who resided with her in Columbia, and J. Otis Starling of Augusta, Ga., the others in Richmond and Baltimore. Funeral services will be conducted at St. Paul's Lutheran church at 4:30 this afternoon by the pastor, the Rev. H. A. McCullough. Interment will be in Elmwood cemetery.

Note: according to the book referenced below she is buried in the same plot as her husband. If this is correct, there is no stone for her. Adam's is the only stone in the plot.
