Britner Service Held Today At Clearfield

Services for Richard D. Britner, 64, of 1414 Joseph Road, Clearfield, R. D., who died at the Clearfield Hospital April 29, were held from the Fred B. Leavy Funeral Home Inc. this morning. The Rev. G. Edwin Zeiders officiated and in­ terment was in Crown Crest Memorial Park.

Mr. Britner, retired area production manager for Harbison-Walker Refractories Co., joined H-W in 1936, and worked at Pittsburgh and Ohio before coming to Clearfield.

He was a member of the Centre Grove United Methodist Church, Clearfield-Curwensville Country Club, F and A. M., Homewood Lodge 635; Clearfield American Legion Post and served in the Navy from 1943-45.

He was born in Pittsburgh, Aug. 20,1912, a son of Preston A. and Minnie (Dougherty) Britner. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Mildred in 1975; and three brothers: P. A. Britner Jr., John G. arid Robert E. Britner.

Two brothers survive: James H., Allentown and William G., Erie.
