Elizabeth was born in Chanute on September 11, 1922, the daughter of Lawrence and Gussie Izora (Bean) Burnett. She attended Chanute High School.
She was united in marriage to Eugene Bailey on September 1, 1940 in Joplin, Missouri. He preceded her in death on February 16, 2012.
Elizabeth was a homemaker, and was a member of the Faith Bible Church.
Elizabeth is survived by her children, Larry Bailey and his wife Sue of Earlton, Mary Ediger and her husband Leroy of Baxter Springs, Regina Seltmann and her husband Kemper of Topeka, Patricia Roberts and her husband Earl of Chanute, and Jeffrey Bailey and his wife Tammy also of Chanute; twenty-four grandchildren; fifty-six great grandchildren; and thirty-three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Eugene; a son, James Earl Bailey; and two sisters, Estella Bailey and Imah Taylor.
