Mrs. Erna Schnell, 98, formerly of Brillion, died Thursday at the Green Tree Nursing Home in Clintonville.
She was born June 11, 1873, at Forest Junction, and was married to Charles Schnell. They farmed in the Town of Brillion until 1934 when her husband died. Mrs. Schnell was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Brillion.
Mrs. Schnell, who has 83 direct descendents is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Frances) Huebner, Brillion, and Mrs. Viola Wolfmeyer of Appleton; two sons, Elmer of Green Bay and Effner of R. 1, Greenleaf; 13 grandchildren, 53 great- grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Hattie Kessler of Marinette, and a brother, John Schroeder of Kewaunee.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one son.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Faith Church, the Rev. Edward Johnson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Community Cemetery, Brillion. Friends may call at Wieting Funeral Home, Brillion, until 10:30 a.m. Saturday, and at the church from 11 until time of services
