John Schleis, an old resident of this place, died at his home last Saturday. His death was caused by cancer. Deceased was 78 years of age and leaves four grown up children in bereavement. The remains were interred in the Catholic cemetery last Monday.

His funeral took place from the Catholic church here. He leaves two sons and three daughters to mourn over his departure.
