George W. Brewer passed away peacefully on April 30, 2010.

He was a man loved and respected by all; he will be dearly missed. He served in the US Marine Corps and was a fighter pilot in WWII. The legacy George Brewer leaves to us all can best be summarized through the following quote from the late poet Kenneth Patchen: "Every man is me. I am his brother. No man is my enemy. I am every man, and he is in, and of, me. This is my faith, my strength, me deepest hope, and my only belief."

Visitation for George will be held from 4 to 9 pm Thursday, May 6, 2010 at CYPRESS LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 1370 El Camino Real, Colma, with a vigil service being held at 6:30 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Friday, May 7, 2010 at St. Veronica's Church, 434 S. Alida Way, South San Francisco. A private interment will be held at Alta Mesa Cemetery, Palo Alto, on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 10:00 a.m.
