ALLEN, Kathy Louise Kathy Louise Allen, 54, of Windsor, passed away on Wednesday, (December 16, 2009,) at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Louis E. Allen, Sr. and Margaret (Cooper) Allen, she lived in Windsor all of her life and graduated from Windsor High School in 1973. Kathy began her career at the Aetna, in 1975, where she held a variety of positions with increasing responsibility before she moved into the field of Human Resources in 1983. She became a Human Resources Consultant in 1989, while at the Aetna. She joined Travelers as a Human Resources Manager when the Aetna/Travelers merger occurred in 1996. The majority of her time at Travelers was spent working in the Hartford Claim Service Center as the Human Resources Manager, where she provided counsel and guidance to both managers and employees. She is survived by a son Zachery C. Allen of Windsor; three brothers, Louis E. Allen, Jr. and his wife Kathy Allen of Salem, David Allen and his wife Tricia Allen of Newington, and Mark S. Allen of Oakdale; five sisters, Eileen Allen Bozeman of Bloomfield, Audrey M. Allen of Hartford, Edna and her husband Neville Brown of Hartford, Deborah and her husband Compton Noble of Bloomfield, and Cynthia and her husband Charles Minton of New Jersey; a good friend Heather Rackliffe; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, James Frazier and a sister, Lois Allen Eggleston. Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2009, 11 a.m., in the chapel of the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Windsor. Her family will receive friends TODAY, 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
